Mary Hargrave (daughter of Andrew Hargrave and Margaret McEwen) was born September 11, 1851 at St. Remi, Quebec, Canada. She is a graduate of Indiana State Normal School and now lives in Kelso, Washington, U.S.A.
James William McEwen Hargrave (son of Andrew Hargrave and Margaret McEwen) was born May 26, 1854 and [sic] St. Remi, Quebec, Canada Oregon, and died February 28, 1920, in Tualatin, Oregon, U.S.A. He married Emma Dale on October 26, 1881. He moved from Canada to Illinois, U.S.A. with his parents and from there to Blue Ridge, Benton, County, Indiana, U.S.A. in 1870. In 1882 he moved to Oregon and in 1888 to Kelso, Washington, U.S.A. where he lived for over thirty years. He returned to Oregon in 1918. He was an Elder of the First Presbyterian Church of Kelso, Washington, U.S.A. for thirty years and represented the Olympia Presbytery at the General Assembly in 1906. Three daughters and one son were born to this union
