Through Jane Melrose
was born [in] 1807 in Kelso, Roxburghshire, Scotland and died May 30, 1874. He is buried in Beech Ridge Cemetery, Quebec Canada He married Jemima Moffat of Dumfriesshire, Scotland, who was born in 1818 and died May 26, 1869. Seven sons and two daughters were born to this union.
