The MIT faculty has a adopted a policy that mandates open access to their scholarly publications. This follows similar moves by Harvard and Stanford (via).

Mass spectrometry websites, social media, journal feeds, and other links and items of interest to the mass spectrometry community.
This is something I’ve been following closely. Harvard has a couple key Open access, most notably Stuart Schieber and Marc Kirschner… but MIT hasn’t been as vocal. This is very good news!
