• That #physics bug I mentioned yesterday… I fixed it, and it didn't solve the problem I was observing. Still, at least I have the fix written down. The problem may be in a simpler bit of code I've been ignoring.

  • Quantum Foundations from Prime-Fractal GeometryWe formalized quantum mechanics on prime-indexed Hilbert spaces and derived the Standard Model gauge group SU(3)×SU(2)×U(1) from the modular structure 6n±1.Paper addresses Wheeler's question: "How did quantum mechanics get that way?"Answer: Prime number arithmetic.https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.17382205#QuantumPhysics #Physics #Science #Mathematics
  • AlphaPhoenix's video about the home-built 2 billion fps camera is one of the coolest videos for a long time. The premise is so simple that anyone (even people without degrees) can follow and understand it. Educational and cool as heck!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o4TdHrMi6do#alphaphoenix #science #physics

  • Dissolution and Crystallization A colorful assortment of salts dissolve and recrystallize in this microscopic timelapse video by retired engineer Jay McClellan. Every step is a gorgeous rainbow of color as the cobalt, copper, and sodium chlorides dissolve, mix, and change. Though we don’t see what’s going on in the water, fluid dynamics are a critical component of both dissolution and crystallization. In the former, concentration gradients change the water’s density, driving buoyant flows. For the latter, crystallization comes out of evaporation, where surface tension often determines where solid particles get left behind. (Video and image credit: J.
