Mass spectrometry/mass spectrometry (MS/MS)
tandem mass spectrometry Acquisition and study of the spectra of the product ions or precursor ions of m/z selected ions, or of precursor ions of a selected neutral mass loss. Note: MS/MS can be accomplished using instruments incorporating more than one analyzer (tandem mass spectrometry in space) or in trap instruments (tandem mass spectrometry in time).
