Isotopolog ion
IUPAC RECOMMENDATIONS 2013
Ions that differ only in the isotopic composition of one or more of the constituent atoms. Note 1: For example, CH₄⁺ and CH₃D⁺ or ¹⁰BF₃⁺ and ¹¹BF₃⁺, or the ions forming an isotope cluster corresponding to the natural isotopic abundances of the constituent atoms. Note 2: Isotopolog is an abbreviation of isotopic homolog.
