DRAFT DEFINITION
Enium ion
Positively charged lower-valency (lower-coordination) ion of the nonmetallic elements. More common types are the carbenium, oxenium, sulfenium, nitrenium, phosphenium, and halenium ions. A classical example is the methenium ion CH3+ (or the methyl cation).
Considered between 2004 and 2006 but not included in the 2006 PAC submission
