DRAFT DEFINITION
Ion kinetic energy spectrometry

A spectrum obtained when a beam of ions is separated according to the translational energy-to-charge ratios of the ionic species contained within it. A radial electric field achieves separation of the various ionic species in this way.

Considered between 2004 and 2006 but not included in the 2006 PAC submission
This is an unofficial draft definition presented for information and comment.
