{"id":90,"date":"2004-02-17T09:44:00","date_gmt":"2004-02-17T09:44:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kermitmurray.com\/blog\/?p=90"},"modified":"2010-09-06T21:00:07","modified_gmt":"2010-09-07T02:00:07","slug":"clifford-district-historical-society","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kermitmurray.com\/genealogy\/clifford-district-historical-society\/","title":{"rendered":"Clifford &amp; District Historical Society"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wightman.ca\/~shill\/resource\/Obituaries-CliffordMinto.htm\">Clifford &amp; District Historical Society &#8211; Welcome<\/a>: &#8220;Minto: Mrs. Samuel Ruller<\/p>\n<p>Alice Jane Hargrave, widow of the late Samuel Ruller passed away at the residence of her daughter: Mrs. James Pike, concession 5 on January 18,1946in her 95th year.<\/p>\n<p>Born in Axbridge, Reach Township, on April 29, 1851, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Martha Hargrave, who later came to Howick Township where she married Samuel Ruller on December 30, 1867.<\/p>\n<p>The Rulllers lived for many years on different farms in Minto before moving to Listowel.<\/p>\n<p>Left to mourn are: William Ruller of Fergus, and five daughters:<\/p>\n<p>Martha (Mrs. William White) of North Bay; Harriet (Mrs. W. Pike) of Swift Current, SK.; Florence (Mrs. David Pike) of Minto Township; Mary\u00a0 (Mrs. James Pike) of Minto; Maude (Mrs. Harris Lake) of Toronto.<\/p>\n<p>Three sons and two daughters predeceased her namely, Andrew, Amos, and Erastus, Minerva and Grace.<\/p>\n<p>She is survived by eighty-eight descendents- one son, five daughters, thirty grandchildren, forty-nine great-grandchildren and three great, great, grandchild. She was a Baptist in religion.<\/p>\n<p>Interment was in the Salem Cemetery.
