It weighs in at just under 40-lbs with full food, water, and crew gear and the weight with personal gear only is just over 20 lbs. <\/p>\n<p>My philosophy is to &#8220;pack to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.philmontscoutranch.org\/camping\/hikers\/whattobring.aspx\">The List<\/a>&#8221; but keep it as light as possible. I aim for a compromise between a 60-lb <a href=\"http:\/\/www.backpackinglight.com\/cgi-bin\/backpackinglight\/forums\/thread_display.html?forum_thread_id=73819\">Stupid Heavy<\/a> pack and a 20-lb <a href=\"http:\/\/andrewskurka.com\/2012\/stupid-light-not-always-right-or-better\/\">Stupid Light<\/a> pack.
